Sausage: Looking for a tasty and simple recipe for your summer barbeque or potluck? Celebrate National Baked Bean Month and try out this recipe for Southern Style Baked Beans, featuring sausage, onions, bell peppers, and Cajun spice!



  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F
  2. Add oil, onions, bell peppers, and sausages to a large saucepan or pot. Sautee until lightly browned.
  3. Add baked beans, barbecue sauce, ketchup, molasses, mustard, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and Cajun seasoning. Combine all ingredients and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Using butter or nonstick cooking spray grease a baking dish. Add the baked beans and sausage mixture to the baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes
  6. After 45 minutes remove aluminum foil and bake uncovered for 15 minutes, before removing and serving.
