Gullah Harmony Singing Workshop with Ranky Tanky

Members of the band will teach three-part harmony singing of traditional game songs, work songs, and spirituals from the southeastern Sea Island region. Participants of all ages will learn a bit of Gullah music’s polyrhythms, call-and-response, musical play, and the 12-bar-blues. All ages; pre-registration is not required. No experience is necessary; you can pay separately or the cost of the workshop is included with admission to the evening concert at 7:00 PM.

$10 per person, or free w/ purchase of evening Ranky Tanky concert ticket.
