Farm Animal Day at Saugerties Farmers Market

Pony rides, face painting, and a fainting goat – oh my! Bring the kids to this week’s Market for its annual Farm Animal Day. For everyone’s enjoyment, there are a variety of animals and activities. Watch the tortoises meander while children hold bunnies, chicks, ducks, and hedgehogs in the petting zoo. Along with the fainting goat, come and see the miniature horse and donkey. Get up close to a llama, and don’t forget the pony rides and vintage tractors to climb on. Children will also enjoy Hula-hooping, Balloon animals, origami crafting, and of course, face painting is a part of all these free activities. There will also be farm-themed cookies for the children to enjoy. All Fun All Free!

Once there, shop for summer fruits, vegetables, fresh seafood, and meats. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, through Oct. 25, at 115 Main St., across from Cahill Elementary School.
