4th Annual Milky Way Tour

Sunday, June 19, 2016
12:00 to 17:00

Come celebrate National Dairy Month with the Catskills Family Creameries who will host the 4th Annual Travel the Milky Way, a one day tour of farmstead creameries on Sunday, June 19! Six farms are opening their gates and creameries, and inviting the public to meet the cows and goats that produce milk and see how butter, yogurt, cheese, milk and kefir are made! Activities on each farm begin at noon and end at 5 PM. Some will offer milking displays, and soft-sided coolers will be provided for on-farm purchases while supplies last.

The Catskills Family Creameries include Betty Acres Farm/Modern Milkmaid (Delhi, NY), Bovina Valley Farmers (Delhi, NY) Byebrook Farm (Bloomville, NY), Cowbella Creamery (Jefferson, NY), Dirty Girl Farm (Andes, NY) and Hawthrone Valley Farms (Ghent, NY).

For more information about each of the participating farms, creamery trail, impact of buying their local products, accommodations for those visiting from out of town, local restaurants featuring Catskill Family Creamery products and a map to guide you, visit the the Catskills Family Creameries website, catskillsfamilycreameries.com.

Each Catskills Family Creamery is a working farm. Most have dirt driveways and, depending on the weather, may offer mud or dust. We suggest that you come to the farms in comfortable footwear and jeans or slacks. No dogs please.
